About The Dance Lab

Founded in 2025, The Dance Lab is a vibrant and inclusive dance studio located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We provide quality instruction in a wide range of dance styles for all ages and skill levels, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and acro.

At The Dance Lab, we combine movement with mentorship to help dancers grow both as artists and as individuals.

With more than 20 years in the dance industry and over a decade as a teacher and choreographer, Emily Leeper brings passion, expertise, and a deep commitment to her students’ growth. She serves as the Director of Dance at MSA East and was honored as the 2024 MSA East Elementary Teacher of the Year. Her credits include choreography and performance work with New Orleans pop artist Caly Pearse, dancing with the Southeastern Louisiana University Lionettes (D1 National Hip Hop Champion in 2018), and titles including Miss Dance of Louisiana 2013.

With over 20 years in the dance industry and 12 years of teaching and choreographing experience, Josie Serigné DeAgano brings elite technique, artistry, and professionalism to every class. Her performance résumé includes the Beyoncé Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show, work with The Pointer Sisters, and features in Miss Gay Louisiana and America’s Got Talent. She holds certifications in Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexibility, Sugarfoot Therapy, Relative Motion, and Building Blocks of Dance, and coaches technique for the Saint Charles Catholic Starsteppers.
